FirstWord Regular
FirstWord: A Balance of Geometry and Expression
FirstWord is a geometric typeface born from a deep appreciation for the subtle complexities of letterforms. Both precise and expressive, it balances the clean, structured aesthetics of geometric typography with subtle nods to neo-grotesque forms.
One of the biggest challenges in its creation was refining the relationship between letterforms and punctuation. Small details—such as the shape of the full point, comma, and quotation marks—can dramatically impact a typeface’s overall character.
The result is a typeface that feels both timeless and contemporary, designed for clarity in both print and digital applications. Every detail, from the numerals to the punctuation, has been crafted with purpose—refining the intersection of geometric precision and humanist warmth.
